We had a great time here in Maui. After spending years and lots of money at the Grand Wailea Hotel, we finally wised up and rented this spectacular place. So much better than the crowd next door that is comparable to Disney World, people, noisy kids and the likes. This was the first vacation to Maui where we could actually relax and make our favorite drinks without having to spend a small fortune on our bar tab for smoothies. Our family had a fabulous vacation here. We enjoyed the wonderful View of the ocean. We BBQ'd chicken and steak and hung out on the lanai. Our vacation was absolutely fantastic. We could not have chosen a better place to stay. There was plenty of room for all of us, the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, the lanai was lovely for sitting and relaxing, and the large TV's were a hit with the kids. It was nice that the pool was so close by, they took advantage of it every day. And, it was a nice walk down to the beach. My mother could not do the stairs, but the staff was very gracious about giving my parents a ride down on carts when they wanted to walk along the beach. All the staff were very gracious and helpful, and everyone was so friendly. The shopping right across the street was very helpful, my parents walked there everyday for a bite to eat or just to walk around and get a paper. The more adventurous in our group went snorkeling, on helicopter rides and plane rides over the crater. I was happy to visit the lavender farm and botanical garden. We enjoyed our visit to the aquarium too. The location of the villas was very central to everything, convenient to shopping, the airport and trips to Lahaina, the upcountry and Hana. I am definitely glad we did not stay in Lahaina. It took a long time to get there, was too far from everything, and was hot and crowded. Everyday in Wailai was sunny and warm. Basically, you were right. Your villa was the best place for us to stay. I'll recommend it to people we know. 08/07
